Even though you were sleeping all through the night you may be experiencing sleep disturbances. There are over 70 different types of sleep disorders and are all categorized in three areas lack of sleep, disturbed sleep, and excessive sleep.

Sleep disturbances occur throughout the night without you even knowing it, this can be caused by many different problems.

Keeping your body in shape, dieting, removing caffeine, and developing a good lifestyle can correct these problems. Everyone is different, and Khirofit can help.

There are stages in your sleep that your body must go through to achieve a good night sleep.
This cycles over and over throughout the night.

5 to 10 Minutes

Stage 1

Light sleep and relaxation of the muscles. (Transition to sleep). Can be awakened easily.

10 to 15 Minutes

Stage 2

Activity in the brain slows and eye movement stops. Your body is preparing for deep sleep.

15 to 20 Minutes

Stage 3

Brains waves become slow (delta waves) and small quick waves occur. Also referred to as deep sleep.

Lasts for 10 Minutes

Stage 4

(REM) Rapid Eye Movement – dreams occur. Usually, REM sleep happens 90 minutes after you fall asleep

Each sleep cycle usually takes about an hour and a half to complete.
During the deep stages of NREM sleep, the body repairs and regrows tissues, builds bone and muscle, and strengthens the immune system. Sleep is needed for your body to function properly, so take care of yourself and do what it takes to achieve a good night sleep.

Personal Training w/ Dr. K

It is a bit hard to walk today, so what better time to write a review. I have been working out with Kelly since June 2012. Initially it was 1x a week for a group class. Then it became 2x a week, which made a noticeable difference. Kelly's workouts are tough in a very satisfying way. You are never bored, he always corrects for proper form, and he gets all the major muscle groups in a well-balanced rotation. You know that feeling when your arms shake a bit as you put shampoo in your hair post-workout? Love it. I should add that I am newly pregnant and Kelly has formatted my workouts accordingly. I look forward to continuing my pursuit of strength and good health with Kelly!

I have been working with Kelly for approximately 7 months now and I must admit, I'm addicted! I started with his group class, twice weekly...then added on one 1-on-1 session. I enjoyed the 1-on-1 sessions so much and felt a significant difference that I added on a second 1-on-1. Next thing I knew I was at three 1-on-1 sessions a week and love it. I have a torn rotator cuff that Kelly has successfully "worked around" and my workouts haven't been limited in any way. In fact, my shoulder feels much stronger than ever. I also have challenging lower back issues that he easily compensates for. Having an excellent personal trainer who is also a chiropractor is such an added bonus as I always feel safe and well cared for. Kelly knows the right balance of how much to push each client and not let us get away with too much. He's a wonderful and fun individual as well. And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, I'm SO much more toned than I was 7 months ago. No only do I have toned and defined shoulder, biceps and lat muscles, but I also ACTUALLY have ab muscles that I can see. Whoo hoo!

I have known Dr. Kelly Maguire now for a little over a year now. I recently joined in his band of followers who seek his expertise in getting into shape. Personally, when I work out, I like someone at the helm who can get to me to perform at the level I am capable of achieving, but I also like feeling at ease knowing that the person at the helm is a trained chiropractor. How great is that? It's been quite a few years since I've been involved in an exercise regimen, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up with the others, but he keeps his classes customized for all.

As a chiropractor, Dr. Kelly can adjust what is not right, and give advice for better physical well-being on many levels. I do feel that one if his greatest strengths is that he is very approachable, and makes you feel very at ease. For women, in particular, this is especially important for us.

I can't recommend him enough.

I have never been to a chiropractor before and this first experience with Dr. Kelly was a good one. He was very thorough in my examination, and took time to explain where and why i was feeling pain. He walked me through each careful maneuver and ensured i was comfortable throughout.

His attention to his patients is great! he wrote down what vitamins i should take as well as what to expect in the next few days and even printed out some stretching exercises for me to follow.

I have the best luck when choosing professionals.
He will be my Chiropractor from now on.

Kelly has been providing me with personal and group/strength fitness training for the past two months. I had not worked out for years on a regular basis, and was really out of shape. Since beginning my fitness training I have reaped significant strides in building back my overall fitness due to his expertise and customized client approach.
The classes are hard work but great fun and incorporate a wide range of training activities designed to keep you motivated and on track toward continous improvement. My energy is back and I have not felt this good in a decade thanks to Kelly!
